The central genres in Jost’s oeuvre are the composition of operas and solo concertos. They are characterised by an orchestrally conceived atmospheric density of sound. Jost’s compositional impulse consists above all in bringing the unknown, the unconventional and psychological borderline experiences to the listener in a fascinating way.
